Friendship is not a competition!!!

There has been a pic trending of a girl wearing  pumps while her friends are wearing Vans & people been making joke about it.

Now my concern is, So what if the girl  can't afford a pair of Vans ?

People were busy commenting  " be friends with people of your class " and I found it pathetic.

This girl probably doesn't like sneakers or they would have ruined her outfit if she wore them , but then again ,Does being poor mean you should  befriend poor people??🤔

I believe that true friendships are not based on materialistic things nor about competitions and I am still struggling to understand why is it black society operates  in a spirit of " I can be better than you " when it comes to friendships....

A true friend encourages you

Each of us has times in life when things come upon us that we wouldn't choose to go through, but we do have to go through either way. True friends are those who would encourage us and help us do what we have to do by supporting us in the midst of all.

Encouragement means coming alongside impart courage to another and this is exactly what a true friend would do ,  they will seek to bring strength to you.
Despite your seemingly hopeless condition , they always encourage you to pursue your talent.

With a true friend the walls come down and you can be who you re without fear , a true friend is someone who thinks you're a good egg even though he knows you're slightly cracked.

Friendship makes prosperity even  more shinning....

Let's talk about my friendship....🤗

I met my best friend  in the late 2013. Her name is Lungelo but she introduced herself as "Luh" .Funny ryt??😀
She's 2 years older than me and I only got to meet her at a high school level.
I gave her a nickname "squirrel" because she would always shuffle around places so quickly.
She became a family member.

Together we vowed be always by each other's side, help build both our dreams .
Still today I am incredibly blessed with this  beautiful friendship.

Throughout our journey I learnt that real friends do not just bring fun or muse  to your life.
After all our ups and downs we're still standing strong.

I no longer believe in life without friendship as much as  don't believe in a life without LOVE...

''Sometimes being a friend means mastering the art of timing .There is time for silence, a time to let go and allow people hurl themselves into their own destiny , Lastly a time to prepare to pick up the pieces when its all over''

A quote by Octavia Butler...

What makes a Strong, Long Lasting Friendship?

Firstly, being honest may not get you a lot of friends but it will always get you the right ones.

You need to show your friends that you want to around them no matter how hectic your schedule is.

Show appreciation, Complement them if they look good or if they do good.

Let your friends know how much you value your friendship.

Be a good listener, always pay attention and listen to what they have to say.

Be supportive, always be there to cheer them up.

Respect each other's opinion.

Each of us has flaws ,but accepting all of it is the key to a stronger and long- lasting friendship.

Lastly ,you need to admit and apologise, just swallow your pride and accept mistakes because that is part of growing .
